Facebook is currently (at the time of this writing) is the fourth largest country in the world. Is it not funny, as we now call a website a country? Anyways, it grows quickly, and if you do not use as a part of your social media/online marketing strategy, you are probably missing out on a certain way. Facebook Marketing should be a key element in this strategy.
Here are a few cool but a little-known tips to optimize your Facebook Marketing activities.
Add your site on your profile
Down on the left side of your profile page, you will see a section named information. In this section, can you list all of your site; If you include http://will then automatically create these Facebook as hyperlinks; I would recommend to put no more than 3 sites here. You do not want to come across as too ' salesy '.
Featuring your most high profile Friends
Section is just below the information about the section friends. If you click the little pen in the upper right corner of this section, you have the option to specify how many friends thumbnails you want to show there. Then you can specify exactly which friends will show up there This contribute to show people that you are connected to in someway to others, which is a high profile in your industry.
Create a Facebook Fan page
If you are using only your Facebook profile, so do you want to max out on 5,000 friends. This is not ' good if friend # 5,001 is a big spender and really want to buy what you offer.Facebook profiles (which is what you get when you first create your account on Facebook) is also really meant for a person, not necessarily a company.
Go to the very bottom of the page to create your Facebook fan page, and click the link Advertising. Then at the top you can see a link to pages. then you get a big green button, which allows you to create a new page. follow the instructions to create this new page; This is one of the most important things you can do for Facebook Marketing.
When it is created, I suggest using a large, impressive picture of yourself or your company branding. a good example of this is Mari Smith. Her fan page can be found on facebook.com/marismith. the size of this image is 200px by 600px. So, it enables a large space to promote what you or your company makes.
Set your username URLs
When you want to send to your Facebook profile or fan page, you would normally have to send them all long link that looks like this:
Facebook.com/username #!/Profile.php? id = 123456789
Wouldn't it be nicer to send a link that looks like this:
Facebook.com/username
To set this up for both your profile and your fan page, login and go to facebook.com/username.Denne page you can specify the user name or the URL for your profile and all the fan pages you have.
With these new shorter, more friendly URLs, you can put them on your brand name pieces and send them to others, so they are easier to remember and to write in.
Add YouTube & Twitter tabs on your fan page
I use a great tool called Get (which can be found at involver.com) to link my YouTube and my Twitter accounts to my fan page; This fundamental creates new tabs across the top of my fan page where my YouTube videos and my tweets automatically fed in my fan page; It is completely automated and give your visitors another view to your other social media content.
Sharing the love
This is a powerful strategy. When you add something to your wall, where you refer to another on Facebook include the @ sign in front of their name; This will do two things.
First it creates their name as a link, so all can click this name and immediately go to the person's fan page or profile. Secondly, anytime you post something on your wall and include @ name, your post will automatically display on their wall. If they have a huge following will then these followers see your image, link, and post to the other persons wall.
